rosemary gladstar’s “the science & art of herbalism” (correspondence course)— i’ve done several herbal medicine correspondence courses, and this one is by far the best for your money.  you get a lovely three ring binder with ten lessons—each lesson focuses on a certain body system and an herbal preparation method, and each contains many recipes for you to try.  at the end of each lesson, there are questions that you answer and mail in, and you receive teacher comments and guidance.  there’s no set time frame to complete the course.  highly recommended for the beginner or advanced herbalist!  available through sage mountain.
